Friday 1 March 10-11.30am
The Treehouse, Berrick Saul Building
The York Research Impact Forum aims to bring together researchers from across the University to share best practice and discuss issues and concerns about their knowledge exchange and impact work.
The forum sessions are open to all research-active staff at the University, and also to PhD students and administrative staff who support impact. All sessions are intended to be cross-disciplinary.
This term’s impact forum will specifically look at policy impacts, including presentations from Bryce Stewart (Environment) and Christine Skinner (SPSW) speaking about how they have been able to influence government policy with their research.
There will also be an overview by Helen Jones (Faculty of Arts and Humanities Impact Manager) on Influencing Parliament and Government and a presentation by Matthew Festenstein (Politics) on the new University of York Policy Unit.
